Sodexo earns highest marks in SAM’s “Sustainability Yearbook” for twelfth straight year

The award that distinguishes companies that have each demonstrated their strengths in the area of corporate sustainability.
Paris, February 26, 2019 – Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, reinforces its position as one of the most sustainable companies in the world by earning Gold Class distinction in SAM’s “Sustainability Yearbook 2019”. For the twelfth consecutive year, Sodexo was ranked as the top-scoring company in its industry for its excellent sustainability performance, scoring 75% compared to an industry average of 16%.
This recognition reflects Sodexo’s commitment of the Corporate Responsibility roadmap, Better Tomorrow 2025.
The Better Tomorrow 2025 consists of nine robust commitments designed to reinforce the culture of responsible behavior throughout Sodexo’s business and addresses the company’s important role in tackling the global issues of promoting the inclusion of local businesses, improving gender equality and preventing food waste.
These nine commitments are fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and each commitment has a measurable objective allowing Sodexo to constantly monitor progress.
